Ultrasonic vibro sifter for sieving buttermilk
The Russell Compact Sieve® is a versatile vibro sifter and when combined with the Vibrasonic® Deblinding System, this sieving machine provides accurate sieving of fatty powders. This demonstration video shows how the Russell Compact Sieve® with the Vibrasonic® Deblinding System effectively screens buttermilk powder to remove oversize contamination.
In the first half of the video when the Vibrasonic® Deblinding System is turned off, it is clear to see mesh blinding at the end causing a slow sieving rate. This ultrasonic vibro sifter uses an ultrasonic frequency which breaks the surface tension to give a clear mesh screen. When turned on, the mesh apertures were cleaned, allowing the product to pass through the mesh screen easily, providing double sieving rate.
Butter powder is thick in nature as it contains higher fat than normal milk powder and increases the chances of mesh blinding or blocking while sieving, which reduces overall capacity and production rates. Blinding or blocking of mesh screen happens when small particles stick to the mesh screen which slows down the material to pass through the mesh screen.
