Sieving of glass flakes
Sieving glass flakes with the innovative Russell Compact Sieve® fitted with a weir plate to control material flow on mesh
Glass flakes are extremely thin glass plates with an average thickness of 5 ± 2 micrometers. Due to this property it is a very difficult product to sieve while removing oversized particles. The Russell Compact Sieve®, a high-capacity sieving machine is capable of screening fine oversized contamination in order to maintain a consistent product quality.
In the demonstration video the vibro sifter is efficiently able to sieve glass flakes. Additionally, in order to achieve the highest product quality, an adjustable weir plate is fitted to the oversize outlet providing control of material flow as it travels across the mesh.
